Success is in Your Hands: Faith for Creatives

And they overcame him [the evil one] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…” ~Revelation 12:11 *Bracets added

The scripture says we overcome by the word of our testimony. When it comes to being successful when it comes to victory, one of the greatest ways to secure this is to tell it, not only for the encouragement of others but to remind yourself when you begin to face other trials.

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. ~PSALM 37:4-5

Success and victory go hand and hand. Both are a mark of triumphing over an obstacle or challenge or in the case of this scripture the enemy of our very lives and souls, Satan.

Here is my testimony that I share as a seed of faith for you. In 2015 I was laden with change; change in calling, change in career path, change in vision, change in relationships. Every change brought me to a new level of faith and deeper love for Christ Jesus.

He has always been sweet and perfect, kind and faithful, but it was and is as I overcome and begin to trust His character more that I am able to see and relate to Him in this sweetness.

One of my biggest struggles is in dealing with provision. I have never really lacked for anything BUT I had trained myself to work for everything, leaving very little room for God to show Himself faithful in providing for me.

Even though I am confident of His love for me, I have struggled with the question of will He meet my daily needs.

I have grown much in this area.

Matthew 6:24-30 Jesus expresses His great love for us, instructing us not to worry about our daily needs but to seek first His Kingdom and its righteousness and all our daily needs will be met. He knows we have need of them, but it takes faith in Him, faith in His character to allow Him to prove Himself here.

And what is His Kingdom? As Romans 14:17 states, “ for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Basically and gloriously, to seek His Kingdom is to continuously agree with His word that you are no longer a sinner but a new creation in Him, His Righteousness by faith and then taking hold of peace, and joy that is found in His Holy Spirit now indwelling you.

So in light of my changes in 2015 and beyond, I have started several new business ventures, one of them being transforming ICFTS into a platform that is more a community. The blessing is that as I take steps in faith (and even before I began) I heard and continue to hear Him say, “You’ll have everything you need.”

Hearing is one thing, believing and putting your faith in what you have heard is another. I decided to put my faith in what I heard and did not question Him.

Psalm 37:4-5 Also delight yourself in the LORD, and HE will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in Him…”

But as a test of my growing faith, while I was in the midst of getting a commissioned art piece finished, I reached for my trusty bottle of varnish only to find that it had dried into a lump!

This was not good being that the holidays were right around the corner and I had very limited time. Instead of accusing the Savior, I testified with MY WORDS, reminding myself through faith what HE had said, that I would have everything that I needed. (PSALM 103:20)

Later that day, cleaning up for the day of work and organizing some of my other tools, I came across a can of spray varnish that I had only used once!

I immediately did a happy dance, not because of the can, but because my faith had increased and I had abided in the faithfulness of His Word and received the fruit of faith!

I have learned to trust Him more. I am learning to rest and trust Him more with confidence because I am HIS righteousness and in this, I have joy and peace! I was victorious in my trial then and have been in many since then. I gained success! And the greatest success is found in walking with Him and holding to His hand!

He Holds It All Together: A Scripture & Song

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the Head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.  For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross. ~Colossians 1:15-20

It is my pleasure to speak of Yeshua Jesus, the God of Creation, the Beloved King and lover of my soul. When it seems my world is falling apart or even just shaking so much that my vision is blurred, I take rest in the truth that He is in control and holds ALL things together. He holds me. He loves me. And He loves you.

The Message of Christ’s Ambassadors : The Cry of God’s Heart

holding-hands-752878_640

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,[c] so that we could be made right with God through Christ. ~ II Corinthians 5:20-21

Ambassador. An ambassador is a person who is sent by a country, government, kingdom to represent the cause of said country, government or kingdom. This person is commissioned to stand for and speak, not his or her on thoughts or opinions, but those of the one who sent him.

Those of us who have accepted the free gift of salvation, given only through the atoning sacrifice of Yeshua Jesus have taken up the mantel of Ambassadors for Christ.

But what is it that Yeshua Jesus, the God of all Creation, has commissioned us as His ambassadors to say to the world? “Come back to God.”

II Corinthians 5:14-21 outlines the transformation that we have from being wicked to righteous of no work of our own but through the great exchange of Christ taking our place and our punishment and transforming unto all who believe, His glory and His righteousness.

The beauty of this is not the He forces ANYONE to come but HE APPEALS that all should come to Him and accept His love and atonement.

To appeal is to make an urgent yet serious request. The God of all Creation forces no one into His love, but HE requests that all will come to His love and enter His rest.

II Peter 3:9  The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.”

Good Good Father: Musical Interlude

He is a Good GOOD FATHER! And we are loved by Him. His ways may not make sense as we face various struggles, pains, disappointments and trials, but Messiah Yeshua Jesus assured us in His Word that His thoughts for us ARE good and for us to be blessed. (Isaiah 55, focus on verses 8-13) (Jeremiah 29:11)

This day was the first time I heard this song. To His glory, it came on the cuffs of a prayer I was praying as I face various struggles and pains of my own life.

What has blessed my soul most in hearing this song is the fact that these are the very words He has been speaking to me since my growing pains began.

It is easy, in the face of confusion, to think we are not loved. But God’s word is true and doesn’t change. He never leaves us nor forsakes us and He loves us completely.

I am loved by Him, as you are loved by Him. I take comfort in that, like a child with a broken limb is told by their loving parent to allow that limb to be reset even though it is going to hurt. I take comfort in knowing that these fires are refining and ALL things will work for my good and His glory. (Romans 8:28)

Why? Because it has before. Why? Because He is a good GOOD Father. And I am loved by Him!

Worse Than Being Blind: A Quote by Helen Keller

Worse than being blind is to see and have no vision”

~Helen Keller

alone-971122_960_720

Proverbs 29:18 says “Where there is no VISION the people PERISH…”

To be able to see is one thing, to have a vision is another. Vision is the driving force that calls us to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

Vision is the crown that causes us to press even in the face of repeated failure because it’s given you a hope for the future. To be a person who has lived and not simply existed, you must have a vision, a goal.

Although vision and sight are different, they are not mutually exclusive. To maintain your vision you must keep it ever before you (Habakkuk 2:2) Put it down in the simplest of words as a reminder of what you are aiming for.

It is very easy to allow the challenges of life to stifle our vision. In faith, in Yeshua Jesus, we are called to ‘renew’ or minds, that we not be conformed to the world (Romans 12:2.) To renew is to “reestablish” to “repeat” to “give strength to” to “validate.”

Keep renewing,  reestablishing, repeating and strengthening until you see your vision come to pass, and when it does, get a new one.

The world will always tell you that you can’t. Others who’ve given up on their visions will attempt to push you to do the same. Just remember, you were given a vision for a reason.

You were called to do more than just ‘see’. You were created to live and that takes VISION! You’ve got one, don’t lose it.

We Will Declare!: Music Interlude

Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol Him, all you peoples, for great is His steadfast love toward us; the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Hallelujah.” ~Psalm 117:1-2

From the rhythm to the words, this song of adoration and celebration of the Glory of the True and Living God, Yeshua Jesus, has blessed my soul since first I heard it. It turns my heart immediately to His joy and celebration, moving my lips to smile, my voice to raise and my hands to lift in worship, reminding me of how SWEET and WORTHY HE truly is! I pray that it will do the same for you!

The Secret of the Stars: A Quote And Message

No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new discovery for the human spirit.” ~Helen Keller

The only ingredients that you need to fail in this life are Fear, Doubt, and Pessimism. All three of these are the poison that sap out our creative power and imagination.

When Yeshua Jesus created the heavens and the earth, He did so by speaking. He spoke from His imagination. Proverbs 23:7 says as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs further goes on to warn us that we will live by the fruit of our lips and above all else, to guard our hearts for out of it flows the source of our lives. (PROVERBS 12:14, PROVERBS 18:21, PROVERBS 4:23)

When our hearts are filled with pessimism and doubt, we speak with negativity and bring forth the fruits of failure. But when we speak with faith, when we allow ourselves to dream, imagine, and do by faith, we are giving life to victory. We are positioning ourselves to conquer!

Yeshua Jesus also tells us that we can do all things through Him and that nothing is impossible to him who believes! He said according to your faith, be it unto you! (PHILIPPIANS 4:13, MARK 9:23, MARK 9:29)

What are you believing? What are you saying about yourself? There are no limits to them who believe. Nowhere in God’s word does he say “you can’t” but he does say that “you can!” What is your dream? Go and make it a reality. Slay your giants, for they will come, but remember you are more than a conqueror because you have faith and believe! Genesis 11:6, Matthew 17:20.

Always Welcome: A Word & Musical Interlude

1426672100e9zz2

Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the Heavens, Jesus, The Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a High priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore COME BOLDLY unto THE THRONE OF GRACE, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

~Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV

I want to encourage you today. I don’t care what is going on in your life, how you may have failed, what sin you may find yourself entangled in, I want you to know that if you have given your heart to Yeshua Jesus that He is not taken by surprise when you stumble, nor is He shaking His head in condemnation towards you (Romans 8:1).

What He is doing is waiting with His arms open wide, waiting for you, His beloved, redeemed child, to run into His open arms and allow Him to restore you.

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17, Jeremiah 31:31-34

You see, the separation that we feel from Father God when we make a mistake and sin is not a separation caused by Him moving away from us. No. He will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5). His finished work on the cross was more than enough to wash all of that away; past present and future. When He said it was finished He meant everything through out time and eternity. (Hebrews 10:11-17) (Jeremiah 31:31-34)

You are completely and wholly forgiven.

The separation we experience is caused by our own moving away because of the lie of the enemy telling us that God is angry with us. But He has promised to NEVER be angry with us again (Isaiah 54:9).

There is therefore now, no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1

When we allow satan’s lies to become a stronghold in our lives, we begin to turn away from God in shame. We move away from Him, but He waits for us and peruses us with open arms. There is nothing you can do to earn His favor. All you can do is receive it.

Yeshua Jesus, Your Loving Father, King, Savior and Friend, wants you to know you are COMPLETELY FORGIVEN, and COMPLETELY LOVED. Nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:37-39) and you are ALWAYS WELCOME!

Take the time and listen to these sisters, Mary and Martha (twins) minister to you this truth in song, “Always Welcome.”

~Poiema Poetry in Motion

God is always faithful to answer. Sometimes His answer is a much desired “yes.” Sometimes His answer is a merciful “no.” Sometimes His answer is a faith-building “not yet.” And sometimes…sometimes, when an answer cannot be found, His answer is simply, “TRUST ME.”

~Stacy L. Sanchez

holding-hands-752878_640

Yeshua Jesus' love is so incredible. Right as I was praying for an answer, whilst perusing my Pinterest page, this quote came upon my screen; an answer. Literally, right as the words for an answer were being prayed! His love, learning the depths of it, being filled with it, is such an incredible thing (Ephesians 3:14-21.) Being filled the delight for Him is an incredible thing (Psalm 37:4). Trusting His way and His plan is a gift through which we find His "answer" is and always is the perfect one for us. Will you trust Him? I am choosing to trust Him. ~ <3

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace (Shalom-nothing missing, lacking or broken) and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
