You are Sanctified in Truth

“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” ~JOHN 17:17 What does it mean to be sanctified? The word is a part of our identity and position as new creations in Christ and blood-bought children of God, but few today understand what it means to be sanctified nor what it really takes to be sanctified. According to the Oxford dictionary, to sanctify or be sanctified is to be ‘set apart as or declare holy; consecrate, or to be free from sin and purified‘. The Word of God further proves this by affirming that we are in Christ and He is in us (I JOHN 4:10-13), that our old has past and we are now righteous in Him by faith (II COR. 5:17, II COR. 5:21, ROM. 3:20-26.) Christ Himself, before He went to the cross to cut this covenant of Grace and Truth with the Father on our behalf, prayed on our behalf that the Father would sanctify us by His truth and stated that His Word is Truth. Here is the beauty, we …

Celebrating the Rising of the Son: A Word of Hope & Prayer of Power

It had been a long three days, long enough to make them feel like the darkest of years, slowly creeping by, snatching away hope and expectation with greedy fingers and leaving in its place, despair, disappointment, and confusion. These were the days after the Passover, when the Lord God of all creation, hung on the cross for the sins and iniquities of the world and then was buried, in haste, in a borrowed grave. Like that time, just a breath beyond two-thousand years ago, many in the Body of Christ are gazing into the fore, middle, and growing background of 2020 with the same feelings of despair and disappointment. Where are the promises of God that He spoke to the hearts of many for this year? Where is the breakthrough? Where is the King? PAUSE TO REMEMBER Like the couple on the road to Emmaus (LUKE 24:13-35), our Lord is walking with each and every one of His beloved children, and He is walking with us because HE IS RISEN … we must open our …

Rejecting the Burdens of Sin & Shame by Bri Lassiter

This is what the Lord says of you, “You are cleansed, you are clear, you are clean you are free. Walk in victory” Sounds amazing, but a lot of times we agree with what the Lord says of us in our heads but not in our walk. We hear Him and nod our heads, that’s nice Jesus, now back to me. Here’s my checklist, can you fix this, this, this, and this about me? And the Lord just facepalms a little bit because we missed it. It’s done. We are already fixed. We have the ability and the right to walk in victory. We are free to receive our free gift of righteousness now. We don’t have to work for it, we don’t have to beg, we don’t have to be subject to shame in the areas we are still learning how to walk it out yet, we just have to believe what the Lord says and receive as we walk with Him. This is a bit different from the religious way of thinking, the …

Always Welcome: A Word & Musical Interlude

Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the Heavens, Jesus, The Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a High priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore COME BOLDLY unto THE THRONE OF GRACE, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” ~Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV I want to encourage you today. I don’t care what is going on in your life, how you may have failed, what sin you may find yourself entangled in, I want you to know that if you have given your heart to Yeshua Jesus that He is not taken by surprise when you stumble, nor is He shaking His head in condemnation towards you (Romans 8:1). What He is doing is waiting with His arms open wide, waiting for you, His beloved, redeemed child, to run into His open arms and allow Him …
