The Expectation of Suddenly!

I have got to say that the Word of God is true! Our Beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ, does not lie and never has. When He makes a promise to you, no matter how long it takes BELIEVE! Believe Him! Right now I am in the ‘spring’ of my life! I am seeing the fruit from seeds planted YEARS ago growing and budding and I am beyond humbled and filled with an overflow of joy and thanksgiving! It is in these moments that ‘suddenly’ has joined me at the table. Suddenly the trees where naked and the ground wore its usually winter-green dress and suddenly, the scent of cherry blossoms perfumed the spring air and the ground beneath our feet became as decorated as an intricately woven Persian rug! Suddenly. The definition of the word is simply, “quickly and unexpectedly.” ** Our Savior has a beautiful way of ‘suddenly’ showing up in the midst of darkness and storms, walking upon the waters (MT. 14:22-33), suddenly walking among flames of fire that should have consumed you but …

Into Rich Fulfillment: The Journey of Change

“…We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment.” ~PSALM 66:12b Trials are something that the Lord in His grace and tender mercies toward us, His beloved children, assured us we would all endure. He tells us this truth many times over in His Word, not only to assure as that we will face the process, but to encourage us that we will make it through each and every one of them and that if we hold on to Him in faith, we will come out into richness. But why the trials? Let’s be honest, none of us looks forward to struggle or resistance. The very thought of doing so goes against our human nature. But there is beauty and benefit within the struggle. Just like when one decides to pursue a healthier lifestyle, that transition is often a struggle, to say the least. Changing one’s diet, making a point to walk more, to take the stairs instead of the elevator, to go to the gym and actually lift …

The Process of Patience: Power in the Process pt 1

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him…” ~PSALM 37:7 Patience. For many, especially in the age of ‘hustle and grind,’ has become a foul word and even more a foreign concept to those who have a heart that beats to the tune of ‘do and achieve.’ Patience itself seems to be the very antithesis of progress and success itself, almost as if it is a waste of time. And waiting on the Lord, well, that seems to be a difficulty all its own. But oh is it so very worth it! First, let’s gain the understanding and the truth that more than you or I want to succeed, the Lord wants us to succeed even more. The glory and beauty of His desire and plans for us is that He is the one who planted those desires in us in the first place. He is the one who has written each of our stories from beginning to end, and He knows exactly what it is going to take to get us for beginning to glorious …

Made Wonder Full: Faith Filled Encouragment for Creatives

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. ~PSALM 139:13-14 NKJV You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Some translations of verse 13 say, not that God ‘covered us in our mother’s wombs’ but that He knit us together in our mother’s wombs. When scripture uses the word ‘fearful,’ it doesn’t mean to be afraid, for what exactly did our Heavenly Father have to fear when He created you? What the word ‘fearful’ means here is that He created you with awe, care, and absolute reverence. Not only did the God of all Creation create you fearfully, but He knit you together, which means He got personal when He formed you! You mean so much that He made you from scratch with His own hands. Christ wouldn’t have created you if He had plans to erase your unique qualities and individual voice. On the contrary, He has plans to plant and cultivate you, to multiply the ‘wonder‘ that He …

A Heart Filled: Faith for Creatives

You have filled my heart with great joy…” ~PSALM 4:7 To put our trusting faith in the Lord, not only for salvation but as an act of creative worship, is not only one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves but it is a great gift that we can give to our Heavenly Father. Creative worship is the greatest way to say, “Father, I trust you with who I am in you, and the plan you have authored for me.” Faith is the root of our covenant with Him. Faith is what creates in us clean hearts and blesses us to be His righteousness (2 CORINTHIANS 5:21). Faith is what makes us a blessing to our Lord Jesus Christ, and it is faith that so pleases His heart. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. ~HEBREWS 11:6 Psalm 4 beautifully highlights the dance between our trusting in the …

Good To Me: A Music Interlude

Psalm 63:3-6 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.” ~Poiema, Poetry in Motion

When God Answers: A Quote, Encouragement, And Song

God is always faithful to answer. Sometimes His answer is a much desired “yes.” Sometimes His answer is a merciful “no.” Sometimes His answer is a faith-building “not yet.” And sometimes…sometimes, when an answer cannot be found, His answer is simply, “TRUST ME.” ~Stacy L. Sanchez Yeshua Jesus’ love is so incredible. Right as I was praying for an answer, whilst perusing my Pinterest page, this quote came upon my screen; an answer. Literally, right as the words for an answer were being prayed! His love, learning the depths of it, being filled with it, is such an incredible thing (Ephesians 3:14-21.) Being filled the delight for Him is an incredible thing (Psalm 37:4). Trusting His way and His plan is a gift through which we find His “answer” is and always is the perfect one for us. Will you trust Him? I am choosing to trust Him. ~ ❤
