Celebrating the Rising of the Son: A Word of Hope & Prayer of Power

It had been a long three days, long enough to make them feel like the darkest of years, slowly creeping by, snatching away hope and expectation with greedy fingers and leaving in its place, despair, disappointment, and confusion. These were the days after the Passover, when the Lord God of all creation, hung on the cross for the sins and iniquities of the world and then was buried, in haste, in a borrowed grave. Like that time, just a breath beyond two-thousand years ago, many in the Body of Christ are gazing into the fore, middle, and growing background of 2020 with the same feelings of despair and disappointment. Where are the promises of God that He spoke to the hearts of many for this year? Where is the breakthrough? Where is the King? PAUSE TO REMEMBER Like the couple on the road to Emmaus (LUKE 24:13-35), our Lord is walking with each and every one of His beloved children, and He is walking with us because HE IS RISEN … we must open our …

Dressed for the Appointment: Hope for the Promises to Come

*Revised from December 26th, 2012 Several years ago I was led to write a short message reminding many of my friends on Facebook to keep holding on to the Word of Faith and promise that Christ Jesus had given unto them. Now, years later, I am urged to do it again. The Lord laid this question upon my heart that only you can answer for yourself, really, and here it is. “Are you dressed and are you ready for the open door?” It is easy to be given a dream and a prophetic vision for your future/destiny/purpose, but it is a whole other thing to not only hold on to it but to be prepared for it at all times. With many of the trails that we face within the monotony of life, it is easy to lose hope in the dream, allowing it to be transformed into the elusive ‘carrot on a stick’ dangling just out of your reach. “Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and …

Passover: The Power of Remembrance

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. 20 He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. 21 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 22 Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare His works with rejoicing.” ~PSALM 107:19-22 It was at the start of 2020 that I had begun to pray for a word to share for Passover. Actually, I began to petition the Lord for the message He would have me share around late December 2019. The reason being that Passover is my most beloved Holy Day/ Holiday. Now, just for clarification, Passover and Resurrection/Easter are NOT the same Holiday. Passover is when our Lord God Yeshua Jesus took our place and bore the wrath of God for all of our sins, past, present, and future. It is when He, being the sacrificial Lamb, shed His blood for our cleansing and …

Recline in His Goodness

“Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.” ~JOHN 13:23 Recline in My Goodness. Tell My people this.” These were the words the Lord Jesus spoke to me during a moment of worship. The moment He spoke the words, the remembrance of the season came to mind. He graciously reminded me that we are speedily heading into the Passover and Resurrection season and that just like with the first Passover, when many plagues were striking the land, that He was covering His people. Specifically, during the night of the first Passover, when the spirit of death came for the firstborn of the land, the Lord gave a few simple instructions in EXODUS 12: Take the blood of a lamb and cover your lintel so that the angel of death will pass over your home and not touch you Be dressed and ready to go Eat Basically, they were called to wait on the Lord and rest while ready to move when the time came for them to do so …

Son of God Came Down: A Poem by Briana Lassiter

Son of God came down Son of Man they found triumphant over the grave Triumphant in victory God could not be bound His love He freely gave He opened up the grave He split the earth, for me to save Love of God come down Touch us with Your sound The sound of truth, the sound of grace Let us glimpse Your precious face Lead us in all truth Let us walk with You Triumphant warriors Kingdom carriers Break all barriers Light of the world; that’s You. ~Poiema, Poetry in Motion By Briana Lassiter I’m married to my dearest friend of 8 years and mom to an energetic 6-year-old. My greatest joys come from traveling with my little family, cooking for appreciative recipients, learning herbalism and natural medicine, and every experience I get to have in prayer ministry. I’m an avid tea and book lover and can’t get enough of either. I love Jesus and the daily adventure that comes from walking in friendship with him as he arranges and rearranges my story.

Take Your Promise, A Prophetic Word for Passover: Season of Salvation pt 2

“My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips.” ~PSLAM 89:34 In Psalm 89:34 the word of the Lord says, “My Covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that is gone out of my lips.” Several nights ago the Lord gave me a dream and in that dream, I was on vacation with a group of people. I looked out the window at the night sky and the sky was black but out of nowhere a cloud that looked like smoke upon the dark sky started to turn to the colors of the rainbow. The actual colors were red, yellow, purple, green, and blue. Suddenly the cloud began to move and as it moved it turned into a ring in the heavens. It was like an opening in the firmament and had Hebrew words going through it. But then the cloud-ring froze over and out of it poured snow. I watched people going out and standing with the light under this rainbow-ring that was now frozen with …

Palms of Victory: Season of Salvation pt 1

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.” ~ZECHARIAH 9:9 Before the very foundations of the world, before the Creator spoke and set out His Words to cause light to shine in the darkness, the Precious Lamb of God, the King of Kings and Savior of all was slain, shedding His blood in a covenant that would shape eternity. Before Adam and Eve inhaled the very breath and Spirit of God, the Ruah that gave them purpose by His design, before their feet could know the touch of grass or their ears hear the ring of pleasure in laughter, before they could fall prey to the lie of the evil one and cause all creation to fall, victory over death, hell, and the grave had already been won. They had, we had, every one of us who would believe and receive His free gift and unmerited favor and grace, based off His finished work was …
