You Are Clean & You Are Loved: The Beautiful Position of His Bride

“You are all fair, my love, And there is no spot in you.” ~SONG OF SOLOMON 4:7 You are beautiful. You are worthy. You are perfect. I love you. You are welcome. All of these phrases seem so simple, compiling of only three words in the English language, but each of them has the power to change the trajectory of a person’s moment, day, and even life. The thing about those phrases, the power within them, not only come for the words themselves but from the speaker of the words. Sure, we all enjoy a compliment or two, but when the words transcended surface appreciation and speak to the core of one’s being, that is when lives are changed … that is when Grace finds a home and thrives. When we read the Song of Solomon, we find a man beautifully and unapologetically in love with his bride. Even in the moments that she attempts to list her flaws, there he is speaking of her perfection and beauty and telling her passionately how he longs …

The Hill: A Word of Faith & Musical Interlude

SPECIAL NOTE: In the face of current circumstances and the pandemic as well as economic fear, the Lord in His grace and mercy, reminded me not only of this glorious song by Travis Greene, but the revelation He had given me concerning it. And although it has been four years since this message was written, it is very relevant right now, especially as many in the Body of Christ, tremble in the shadow of sickness and the enemy. Family, be encouraged, and remember as we draw into the season of Passover and Resurrection, that the BLOOD STILL DEFEATS DEATH!  Be encouraged and look to that beautiful Hill called Calvary where the Blood of the Lamb, Christ Jesus, was shed for us and covers us even now! ~Candice Coates As I was having worship and pray and listened to the song, The Hill by Travis Greene, for the very first time, my spirit was overwhelmed with the Lord Yeshua Jesus’ comfort and truth! And in so, I heard Yeshua Jesus say, “Share this with them.” Meaning …

The Impossible Romance: From Novels to Now Through Christ’s Example

*Revised from March 3, 2016 Women, as well as some men, love the idea of an impossible romance; where the heroine, despite the circumstances, is still found to be worth winning, worth pursuing, worth redeeming by her unforeseen love, until against all odds he wins her heart and heals its brokenness. The recipe for most romance novels tends to stay upon that common thread. Women want to read about redemptive love. I believe this is why women are more open to accepting the grace, truth, and love of Christ. He comes as the Hero of the ultimate, impossible, love story, sacrificing Himself for a bride who doesn’t know how to love Him in return, doesn’t see her own brokenness, or His value upon first glance. But when she, the bride, the heroine, does come to herself and allows His redemptive love, she finds her home in His heart where she thrives magnificently. Romance novels offer this balm to the unspoken ache that all women carry. The bible says that we are not meant to be alone, that He …

The Joy of A Spiritual Love Affair: Faith for Creatives

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” ~PSALM 84:10 To look upon the one you love and to say that one day with them, in their presence alone, is better than 1,000 days put together is a mighty statement. These words are the embodiment of an incredible love affair and devotion. Have you ever been in love? Have you ever felt so strongly for another soul? Whether you have or not the truth still remains that we all were created with the desire for such a great love. The beauty, being made as we are, is that we are blessed to experience this kind of love and its greatest fulfillment. This love that never ceases but ever makes us aware of its intense sweetness, is the spiritual love that we all can have with God through trusting faith in His Only Son, Christ Jesus. His righteous, unrelenting love will NEVER LEAVE US NOR …

Tell Them I Love Them: The Most Everlasting of Loves

“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” ~JEREMIAH 31:3 This message is simple. It is not full of scripture or analogy. It does not use metaphors are large words. However, it is the most Powerful message of all. Not only that, but as we embark on what is supposed to be the most romantic months of the year, and yet, one of the most lonely, I feel compelled to share this with you. Many years ago, as I meditated in prayer and waited for the LORD to send me a Word to share with the Body of Christ, I kept hearing Him say, “The Word will come.” Actually,  I had been waiting and praying for a word for quite some time and He continued to give me the same response. “The Word will come.” When the Word finally did come it was so compelling and again so simple that I had no choice but to open my …

Plan BIG!: A Word on Vision Casting

“When God is your partner, make your plans big!” ~ D.L MOODY Plan BIG! You’d think that that exhortation would make every person who heard it celebrate with a motivated fire for action when in reality it makes a lot of people shrink back in fear and hide under the heavy blankets of safety and mediocrity. Dreaming is not so much of an issue for most of us. But dreaming big . . . well, that has the power to not only knock the wind out of many of our sails but sink our boats completely. Like me, I suppose you are wondering why that is. If we are honest with ourselves we would have to admit that insecurity and the scrutiny of others are what holds us back. The old ‘what will people think?’ phrase acts as the perfect glitch in our plans of action. The very thought of failing in front of others, especially those who’ve minimalized our former dreams with the constant song of ‘you can’t,’ strikes us immobile. Them witnessing our …

Thanksgiving in Every Step

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord And He delights in his way.” ~PSALM 37:23 The beauty of living our lives to the glory of Christ is that we can rest in the full assurance that no matter where our foot may fall, whether circumstances seem good, bad, or neutral, that our steps are ordered by God our Father. Now don’t misunderstand. This doesn’t mean that we, in our ‘good intentions’ can’t get ourselves off track and go places God never ordained or intended, because the truth is that we all have. What it means is that, if we find that we have made a bad step, the Lord is not only able but faithful to work that step to our good (ROMANS 8:28). He is able to turn what our own misguided direction wrought into something good. Let us give thanks for that! Let us give thanks that because we are now His righteousness through faith (II COR. 5:21, we are assured of always gaining victory. Let us give thanks that our repentance, turning …

Fire Through The Window: The Season of Preparation

The Fall By Candice Coates, written September 28, 2015 The world looked like fire from the view of her bedroom window. The leaves on the trees had been set ablaze by the match called Fall. Life as she had known it, of thin layers and barefoot days, was slowly burning to smoke, leaving behind ashes of leather boots, sweaters and the scent of earth in the air. “I love the fall,” she said. “There is something lovely about it. It reminds me of the perfect kiss; sweet and intimate, zestful with the shock of chilled lips that slowly ebb into a warmth that leaves you hypnotized, never wanting to let go.” She closed her eyes to the warm caress of the sun’s rays sliding over her eyelids like the softest silk before she pushed away from the window. She wrapped herself within her own arms and smiled brightly. No one was there with her, no one except God, the One who had created the Fall with her in mind and heart. The Beginning. THE BLESSING …

Knowing God or Knowing About God by Bri Lassiter

*Originally published April 14, 2019 I feel like I’ve spent a lot of my life knowing about God but not actually knowing Him. It’s as if I’ve somehow thought I could have a relationship with God by knowing as many facts as I can about Him, and then “living right” in accordance with the facts I knew. It’s laughable how unrealistic that thinking is! Imagine approaching ANY other relationship in your life the same way, or imagine trying to apply any Christian catchphrase that we try so hard to live by, to an actual relationship like a husband, wife or friend. What if you tried to function in your human relationships by attempting to just work hard, sacrifice, conform, or serve and please them? What if you just came to them and begged to be used a lot? Or if you just came to them begging for them to fix you and make you clean? Those would sound like red flag signals of a dysfunctional or abusive relationship, void of feelings and necessary love. Yet …

He Holds It All Together: A Scripture & Song

*Revised from September 2, 2016 “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the Head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.  For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross.” ~Colossians 1:15-20 It is my pleasure to speak of Messiah Yeshua, Christ Jesus, the God of Creation, the Beloved King and lover of my soul. When it seems my world is falling apart or even just shaking so much that my vision is …
