“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation, Lowly and riding on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.” ~ZECHARIAH 9:9
Before the very foundations of the world, before the Creator spoke and set out His Words to cause light to shine in the darkness, the Precious Lamb of God, the King of Kings and Savior of all was slain, shedding His blood in a covenant that would shape eternity.
Before Adam and Eve inhaled the very breath and Spirit of God, the Ruah that gave them purpose by His design, before their feet could know the touch of grass or their ears hear the ring of pleasure in laughter, before they could fall prey to the lie of the evil one and cause all creation to fall, victory over death, hell, and the grave had already been won.
They had, we had, every one of us who would believe and receive His free gift and unmerited favor and grace, based off His finished work was redeemed!
This is the Season of Salvation!
Salvation, the very Name by which all men shall be saved, Jesus, Yeshua, Precious Lamb of God, Lily of the Valley, the Mighty Lion of Judah, our Shepherd, Messiah, and Christ.
He comes riding in on the foul of a donkey, a colt having never been ridden before.
The Savior comes in a display of humble victory riding in on a ‘red-carpet’ spread out for Him in the form of coats and palm fronds.
Have you ever wonder about the palm fronds? Were people laying them out because they had run out of overcoats to lay before Him?
The act of laying out the palm frond was to symbolize victory and peace that had been won by a warrior. It was an act of honor and celebration for winning the battle.
What a great demonstration and declaration at that moment of time to tell the story that Christ had already won the victory for us, His Bride!
The Season of Salvation, the steps of our Savior written down in history were only but the retelling of a story already finished.
Consider this. The first time a director of a movie cries out “Action!” on a movie set is only done after the script has been written and declared finished.
“All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” ~REVELATON 13:8
The moment Christ cried out, ‘It is finished’ on the cross echoed throughout eternity and beyond the confines of time and become one with the moment He was first slain.
It is finished, whatever your ‘it’ is! Lay our your palm fronds now! Get in line with His word and declare it with faith and agreement in the face of every lie that is contrary to His truth and Covenant Promise in your life, declare your Rhema Word to every contradiction that it is finished!
Salvation has come and He has won you the victory! He has won us all!
