“Your Words were found, and I fed on them, and Your Word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart. For Your Name is called on me, O Lord God of Hosts.” ~JEREMIAH 15:16
When I read this yesterday afternoon, I absolutely wept with thanksgiving. The words of truth and revelation came to life in an instant as I basked in the glorious presence of King Jesus in worship and adoration.
So often, people miss the graciousness of God and His lavish love for His children. Although we lift our hands as an offering to Him, we are the ones who receive.
“Your words were found, and I fed on them.” Christ Jesus is the Living Word of God and He alone is the Bread of Heaven.
“In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” ~JOHN 1:1
I have been meditating on the term “Poiema” meaning Poem, and how we, the beloved children of God, are His Poetry in motion (Ephesians 2:10.) To see the posting click here. But as I write this, more revelation comes and I am reminded that not only did Christ come to deliver us from the grip of sin and death, but that He walked among us to teach us how to live and walk in the glory we were created for.
The Living WORD, the truest Poiema, showed us how to be Poiema! He is the joy and rejoicing of our hearts! (John 1:14)
He came and revealed Himself to us and to all those who receive Him, all who “feed” upon Him, they receive eternal life and joy and strength. The Joy of the Lord is our Strength!
Knowing that we are Loved perfectly by Him is what enables us to receive the fullness of this joy. Partaking in His communion and remembering His sacrifice are we daily reminded that we are redeemed and it is a free gift to all, through no effort or earnings of our own!
In this, we REJOICE!
Christ Jesus said, “And now I come to You (to the Father.) And I speak these in the world so that they (His adopted children) have My joy completed in them. ~JOHN 17:13
Again, Christ Jesus is the Word that is found, He is that which we feed upon, the bread of Heaven, and through His finished work, we find hope, joy, and strength!
“This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one might eat of eat and not die. I (Jesus) am the Living Bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I give for the life of the world is My flesh.” ~JOHN 6:50-51
What a Mighty, Loving and Awesome God!
