I dream of you

I dream of you
When the world is cold
and its demands beat down on me
You’d cover me with your love
your branches my protective canopy

I dream of you when the heat comes in
When the light is much too much for me to comprehend
You’d undress me of my loneliness
and clothe  me with the love you guard within

I dream of you
I dream of you
My love
I dream of you

Wow! Seriously beautiful, Candice. The whole is, but I especially found the above lines moving. 🙂

    1. 🙂 I was having a very raw moment of missing someone, and the poem came to life. And well feeling the missing presence of the one you love can indeed feel like a garment…but when they are near again all is well in the world. 😀
