Writing Prompt 2: All I Need

Writing Prompt: All I need

DCF 1.0

TIME LIMIT: 20-25min (Give yourself and additional 3 to 5 min for parts 1 and 2. The less time you have the more honest you will be with your answers.)

CHALLENGE:  Imagine it is the end of the world as you know it. (You can take this figuratively or literally…its your world after all.) You have limited time to flee to safety and you have limited space. You can only carry up to 5 of the most important things you will need to survive. NO MORE THAN 5. What is it that you will carry with you?

  1. Take 3 to 5 minutes and write down the 5 items you would NOT be able to survive without.
  2. Take 3 to 5 minutes and write down the 5 items you ABSOLUTELY DON’T NEED AT ALL.
  3.  Trash the list under point 1.
  4. Now take the list of Absolutely unnecessary items and write a poem/short short story about why you or your character just can’t live in a world without these 5 items.

Happy writing!

NOTE: I will post my results next Tuesday, June 17th. For more information about Writing Prompts and Exercise follow the LINK.
